What is Home Care
Guardian Home Care agency provides services that do not require a licensed professional or a physician's prescription. A home care worker can help a person with activities of daily living (ADLs) like remembering to take medications, preparing meals, transferring from a chair, toilet or bed, bathing, getting dressed, light housekeeping or transportation to and from doctor's appointments. A home care worker can also provide companionship to an older adult or an adult with a disability - engaging in a favorite hobby, watching movies or simply conversing about their past or the events of the day.

Home Care
Home care (also referred to as domiciliary care, social care, or in-home care) is supportive care provided in the home. Care may be provided by licensed healthcare professionals who provide medical treatment needs or by professional caregivers who provide daily assistance to ensure the activities of daily living (ADLs) are met. In-home medical care is often and more accurately referred to as home health care or formal care. Often, the term home health care is used to distinguish it from non-medical care, custodial care, or private-duty care which refers to assistance and services provided by persons who are not nurses, doctors, or other licensed medical personnel. For terminally ill patients, home care may include hospice care. For patients recovering from surgery or illness, home care may include rehabilitative therapies.

Adult Daycare Services
An adult daycare center is typically a non-residential facility that supports the health, nutritional, social, and daily living needs of adults in a professionally staffed, group setting. These facilities provide adults with transitional care and
short-term rehabilitation following hospital discharge. The majority of centers provide meals, meaningful activities, and general supervision. The care provided is often a social model (focusing on socialization and prevention services) or a medical model (including skilled assessment, treatment and rehabilitation goals) provided in order to improve participants health and guide their progress in the right direction.

Personal Home Care
Personal care services help individuals remain safe, independent and engaged in leading enriched lives. It’s often the kind of in-home help that allows people to avoid moving out of their homes into a more expensive and less attractive setting.
This can include companionship and also assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). Activities of daily living are routine activities that people do every day without needing assistance. The basic ADLs include eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking) and continence. An individual’s ability to perform these ADLs is an important part of understanding the type of services that are needed. In most instances, these services are provided to seniors who may need a little extra help or in some instances more help like 24 hours 7 days a week or even a live-in arrangement.
